Who is the song konstantine about

And that's what he's trying to say to her. I really love this song especially the emotion that's in it. I agree with pretty much what everyone says, just wanted to add one thing. The part about "The first star you see may not be a star, I'm not your star, isn't that what you said, what you thought the song meant" is not referring to the song Konstantine but a Jimmy Eat world song, hence the part just before it saying "Jimmy Eat World and those nights in my car where the first star you see I always thought this song was about a relationship filled with plenty of ups and downs and Yes, it is about his ex-girlfriend.

However, when he says "I had these dreams, in them I learned to play guitar Maybe cross the country Become a rockstar And there was hope in me That I could take you there But damn it you're so young But I don't think I care and if I hurt you then i'm sorry please don't think that this was easy" It seems like his fame is getting in the way of their relationship, it is somewhat pushing them away from one another.

I don't know, it makes sense to me. I feel as though the song Konstantine is about a couple that started out just on a limb REAL love.. Cheating, lying was done by one and the other cannot fix it.

A LOT.. This song reeeally reminds me of my ex. He was older than me, and he treated me real real bad. This year he left to college, it reminds me of when he comes home and wants to be with me. And he looks back at all the things he's done wrong, between drinking and saying things the wrong way.

Uhm I just think that he's talking about himself for like the beginning where he talks about his well, "YOUR" "big dreams" how he wants to be a rock star and he doesn't find a place for her within his life besides the fact that he's madly in love with her. He talks about dreaming of literally dreaming of being a rock star and learning the guitar. I think that he's trying to tell her that he wants to follow his dreams but he doesn't believe she could accept the life of a rock star "and there was hope in me that I could take you there but damnit you're so young well I don't think I care" That's just part of how I interpret it.

Loud conversations would die down. People would lean across tables, rest on fireplace mantelpieces, sit on the damn floor. But by the time the song would wind around to the four minute mark, there would be groans of "not this song," while other people would quietly mutter along with the lyrics. There was this weird sense of everyone being abruptly ripped from the present and sent immediately back to some high school bedroom where they were learning some very harsh private lesson about life.

Trying to revisit "Konstantine" is harder when you're older. It's awkward, and it doesn't really feel the way it used to. It makes you wonder how it could have ever been "your song" except for fleeting moments when you remember why in a blast of uncomfortable clarity on a stray line or riff. This is my favorite version because of an unexpected moment at the end. CookingWithPunk on February 24, Link. General Comment I have no idea if someone has said this already, because I'm way too lazy to go through something pages, haha.

So if you have, my apologies in advance. I think the Jimmy Eat World reference in this song has to do with an actual song by them, "Polaris. It has been in debate whether or not the song was actually written about the star, or an actual person, because the lyrics could go either way.

The star is always the first thing in the night sky - a constant. It's actually a reference to "For Me This is Heaven", released in The first line of the song is "The first star I see may not be a star". General Comment to me, this is just one of the few things in life that is perfect. Artists - S. Konstantine is found on the album Songs for Silent Movies. Rate These Lyrics.
