Which gossip girl season is the best
The first half had nothing much worth mentioning and some of the things just went completely wrong like in the first season Serena returns but in this season there is not much attention paid to her character or storyline. The narration was quite weak. Season five came with a lot of flaws and it makes it the least favorite of all.

Maybe it has something to do with Dan and his sister Jenny, whose middle-class background keeps them on the fringes of this exclusive clique who live for fashion, shopping and partying—along with gossip. Sex, lies and scandals never take a vacation. Rumors is the temperature began to climb between Nate and Serena, who escaped to Hamptons for the summer following their break-up with Lonely Boy. As summer draws to a close, Blair returns from abroad with a hot guy on her arm and Dan, who has spent the summer assisting a famous author, decides to head to the Hamptons.
Then, everyone gets back to the city for senior year. Applying for college is only one small part of the story as new romances and some not-so-new romances bloom and fade, scandals erupt at every turn, and alliances shift even faster than Gossip Girl can send an update. Welcome back, Upper East Siders. In the midst of Fashion Week, a furious Blair decides to sabotage her mother's show. Meanwhile, Dan starts hanging out with Chuck. A sudden and tragic event impacts the lives of everyone on the Upper East Side.
As the summer draws to a close, Serena and Nate pretend they are in a relationship. Blair returns from abroad with a new man and Jenny sneaks an invite to a much-coveted Hamptons' White Party. Charlie begins to feel comfortable with Serena and her friends.
Blair finds herself torn between the men in her life. Jack Bass returns to New York, jeopardizing Chuck and those closest to him. When things get tense between Rufus and Will, Rufus is made to feel like an outsider in his own family. After many failed attempts, Chuck makes one last grand gesture to reconcile with Blair. Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck and their class break into the school swimming pool for a night of fun, but when someone nearly drowns, the school threatens to expel the ones responsible for the break-in.
Blair's father comes home for the holidays with an unexpected guest. Jenny and Vanessa help Serena get the best Christmas present ever for Dan, who has a surprise of his own for Serena.
After Georgina reveals the true reason Serena left Manhattan, Serena falls back into her old habits. Meanwhile, Rufus is excited when his band is invited to perform at a Rolling Stone-sponsored concert. Serena's grandmother announces that Serena must go to Debutante Ball. A jealous Nate begins to suspect that Blair is seeing someone else. Jenny finds herself defying her parents. Having been dethroned as Queen Bee, Blair returns to school with the support of Serena.
Meanwhile, Serena struggles to adjust to living with Chuck, and Jenny's drive to be popular hits an all time high. Lily throws Charlie a party to officially introduce her to New York society. Dan decides it may be time to tell Blair the truth about his feelings for her. Little J is power hungry! She's decided she doesn't only want to be Queen B of the school, but is setting her eyes on an entire borough: The Upper East Side. She pulls a page out of Blair Waldorf's playbook and orders her minions to confirm the hottest date to Cotillion on Jenny's behalf.
But, Eric is over Jenny and her power trip so he decides to sabotage her date plans so that his own boyfriend can be her escort. When Jenny finds out, chaos ensues, and she decides to upstage everyone and their dates by showing up with the one and only Nate Archibald.
Serena is having an affair with Nate's cousin, Tripp, who is also married. Also he's her boss. So they decide to spend the holiday apart. But then Lily runs into Tripp's wife, Maureen, on the street, and they're both wearing the same Red Valentino tweed jacket!
So of course, Lily invites Maureen and Tripp to dinner with her family, and chaos ensues. So much has happened in such a short amount of time. Dan thinks he has a baby with Georgina, Blair and Chuck reunite for a fleeting moment before she realizes she must let him go, and then Blair meets a member of the royal family of Monaco at a museum while staring at a painting.
She then gives him one of her Roger Vivier heels to find her with. How can you not love this show? We're not in the Upper East Side anymore! Dan and Blair have left Manhattan and are trying to find out what really happened when Serena was in boarding school. This episode has it all: Dan and Blair being an unlikely amazing duo, flashbacks to Serena's wild past in boarding school, a glimpse into why Juliet actually hated Serena, and answers to all the questions we've had in the past few episodes.
